We cannot prevent suicide with speeches alone. Trauma is transferred from boss to staff, to parent, to child. We cannot save children while we keep traumatizing the adults who raise them. Suicide prevention must be a daily practice of kindness.
We Cannot Prevent Suicide With Speeches.
We mark the day. We make speeches. We go home.
But suicide keeps rising — among children, young people, and adults.
Because trauma is transferred.
Boss → Staff → Parent → Child.
Hurt people hurt people.
A parent humiliated at work transfers that pain at home. A teacher crushed by toxic work transfers it in class. The child transfers it to another child.
We cannot save children while we keep traumatizing the adults who raise them.
Suicide prevention is not an event. It is a daily practice of kindness.
Until we change how we LOOK at mental health, how it LOOKS at us won't change.
Break the chain.
